We hope this site will help you learn more about us- even if you are not familiar with 'church' activities. More significantly might be to learn more about a real living faith in a God who affects and guides our lives today.
This Church is in Upton, West Yorkshire, England. Half way between the cities of Wakefield and Doncaster. The postcode is WF9 1HQ streetmap link. See also church history.
Facilities for the disabled are provided, including a Loop System (hearing aids to 'T' position) fed from the mixing desk.
The church however is not the building but the people
The People
Around 28 adults and 10 young people meet on a Sunday at 10-30am for a service led by either members of our congregation (worship leaders), a local preacher, or our minister (or any combination of the three!). Services vary in style and content but would include worship of God, appreciation of Jesus, his life, death and resurrection, Bible readings, teaching and prayer (talking to God).
A music group (variety of instruments) assists us as we sing praise to God. Adrian is always appreciative of new musical abilities- come and join us.
We are all different, ages ranging from 18 months to 80's- our younger people are called Sunny Dudes and God's Crew.
After each service we share drinks, biscuits and often a birthday cake.
This is a time to catch up with news, cares and concerns between us all.
You may find someone here just like you.
